Want To See A Miracle

“And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.l        Matthew 13:58

I stumbled across this verse this last week and it has stayed with me ever since. It made me start thinking of the power of faith and miracles. Most of us would say that we have faith in God and in His son Jesus. Most of us would also say they we believe in the power of prayer. But if I am being honest with myself and with my readers…sometimes my faith is lukewarm. Ouch. What a hard truth to swallow. But when I took time to reflect on my prayer life and my view of God’s power in my life I noticed the temperature was not as hot as I thought it was. In fact…it could use a huge heat up!

You see I have solid and unwavering faith that God can do anything I ask and so much beyond my desired requests. But where my faith drops in temperature is when I ask will He?

Do you ever find yourself asking the Lord for something you truly believe to be of His will but then leave the prayer going, “So you got that, right God? Did you hear me God? What do you think about what I just asked you for God?” We basically take our requests before God and then run in circles with them. Thank goodness the Lord knows our hearts, and the spirit intercedes for us!

But the more important question is do we find ourselves in a place that is conducive to experiencing and seeing God’s miracles. Are we simply asking to see His power in our life and our families’ lives or are we anticipating His power?

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.“ Hebrews 11:1

Now this does not mean God is going to answer every prayer that we pray with our desired outcome. After all, we know His ways are so much better than anything we could ask for.Our prayer should be that His will be done in our life on His time frame. It can’t get better than that…it won’t get better than that. He has so much good in store for us! He has so much good in store for YOU!

“And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.”        Matthew 13:58

Notice the verse does not say that he did not perform any miracles…. it says he did not perform many miracles. So due to the lack of faith among the people, God chose not to perform as many miracles there as he would have if faith had been present. Think about that for a second. Faith has a direct impact on what God does in our lives.

Want to see a miracle?

Place yourself in a position to see God‘s miracles. Have faith in the good things God has in store for your life! And wait with anticipation for all to be seen!

God will never stop showing His power. He will never stop feeding our faith. Where there is faith, you will see God at work.
